Cincinnati 1953

This picture of me and my parents was from when we took a trip to Cincinnati when I was 4. Opa Karl & Oma Julchen were on this trip. Oma had family in Cincinnati. The Jacobsohns, Uncle Walter & Tante Irma, Peter & Harold were also on this trip. They went to visit Uncle Walter’s cousin, Jack Jacobsohn.

Passover

This was a Seder at the Jacobsohn home in Shorewood. From left to right: me Gary, Harold, Peter, my father Erich, Uncle Walter, Tante Irma, Oma Dina, my brother Dennis, and my mother Hilde.

In front of the duplex on Farwell Ave. (2630-2632) where both of our families lived. My father purchased the house on the GI Bill in 1946. The Jacobsohn’s and Oma Dina moved to Shorewood in 1955. We moved to Whitefish Bay the following year. Our 2 new homes were only about a mile apart.
